Due to FCC regulations and manufacturer's warranty requirements, NO Amateur Radio dealer may legally open and modify the transmitting frequency range of a new Amateur transceiver. The modification of an Amateur Radio transceiver that you own must be performed by you, or your agent. Making that modification will normally void the warranty.

Purchase of an unrestricted HF transceiver must be made by a Government agency directly from an authorized dealer.
