Our engineering analysis confirmed the original information from the designer of the broadband hexbeam, Steve Hunt, G3TXQ regarding adding 6 meter elements to the 5-band hexbeam.
The addition of 6 meters elements to a hexbeam results in poor performance on 6 meters and it also adversely affects the SWR and performance of the beam on 12 or 10 meters. We recommend using a separate 6 meter Yagi which may be mounted a few feet below your new Hexx Beam Mark 2 antenna.
